Venkat Prabhu's Chennai 28 gets International recognition


Chennai 28 is a movie based on street-cricket, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie released with a low profile and went to become a blockbuster. The movie which is enjoyed by Tamil audience has been picked by an English writer James Walsh of 'The Guardian' publication as the movie with most memorable cricketing moments.

 

 It is a great pride as the movie has been chosen along with Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes, Ashuthosh Gowrikar's Lagaan, Stacey Diamonds' I know how many runs you scored last summer and Hope and Glory directed by John Boorman-Lasee Hallstrom.

 

Venkat Prabhu is currently working on Masss featuring Suriya, Nayanthara and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.
