Kamal's Director clarifies the allegation on Dhrishyam story

Ekta Kapoor, the Bollywood Producer has acquired the movie rights of a Japanese author Keigo Higashino's book, "The Devotion of Suspect". He claims that Dhrishyam is a film which is adapted from the novel. He also sent a legal notice to hold the Hindi remake of Dhrishyam.

Jeethu Joseph who also directs Dhrishyam remake in Tamil clarified that he read the book after he received the legal notice. There would be similarities between the book and the film, but it's not an adaption of the novel. He also cleared that he won't be directing the film in Hindi, as he is busy with Malayalam movies. The issue raised when the makers announced Hindi remake, however it went silent for few months. But it's fired up again when Kamal's project kicked off few days ago.
