Biriyani Preview - SWOT Analysis 

Venkat Prabhu and Karthi’s Biriyani is all set to hit the screens on December 20 amidst big expectations. Hansika is paired opposite Karthi. Venkat Prabhu’s regular Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music and marks his 100th film. Karthi needs a big hit to sustain his market position as his previous films 'Azhagu Raja' and 'Alex Pandian' were BO failures.

Strength

• After delivering a super hit film “Mankatha”, Venkat prabhu comes back with Biriyani along with his regular cast and crew team. 

• Yuvan has dished out good range of songs fitting multiple genres of world and local music. “Nananana nah” track is favourite among youngsters.

• There is a running joke in the industry that Venkat Prabhu will even direct a movie without a story. But, never without his brother. Biriyani is no different as Venkat Prabhu gives a bulky role for Premji where he will be sharing screen time alongside Karthi throughout the running time.

Weakness:

• Long delay in release deciding to replace Biriyani with 'All in All Azhaguraja' for diwali, raised a lot of questions in the trade. It is reported that Karthi and his family members associated with the production watched the first copy of both movies and believed that Azhaguraja had better chances of succeeding at the box office and hence resulting in pushing out Biriyani. 

Opportunity:

• The movie is releasing in around 1000 screens worldwide, added with aggressive promotions, movie is expected to have a good opening at box office.

Threat 

• A number of movies will be releasing along with Biriyani including "Endrendrum Punnagai" and Amir Khan's "Dhoom 3".

• Biriyani is an important film for Karthi who has recently delivered 2 commercial failures and has received sharp criticisms in prior 3 outings.
