Dune is a 1965 epic science fiction novel by American author Frank Herbert, which is considered to be one of the world's best-selling sci-fi books. An eponymous first film, of a two-part adaptation of the book released in 2021 starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the lead. Film Dune: Part Two then followed on March 1, 2024. Dune: Part Two's OTT release date in India is April 16, 2024, and Amazon Prime Video has announced that the movie is available on rent.

Dune: Part Two is soon expected to be made available to stream for free, under the Amazon Prime membership. Set in the distant future in a feudal interstellar society in which various noble houses control planetary fiefs, Dune tells the story of young Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), whose family accepts the stewardship of the planet Arrakis.

While Arrakis is an inhospitable planet and is a sparsely populated desert wasteland, it is the only source of melange or "spice", a drug that extends life and enhances mental abilities. The Dune movies are co-written, directed and produced by Denis Villeneuve. Dune: Part Two is available to stream in English and Hindi languages, in India.
