Chandramukhi is a 2005 Tamil hit starring Rajinikanth, Jyotika, Nayanthara, Prabhu, Vadivelu, Nasser among others and the movie's sequel has been on the cards for a while now. Earlier this evening, Lyca Productions revealed that a new movie announcement will be made at 6 PM tomorrow i,e, June 14, 2022 and buzz is that this movie will be this highly anticipated Chandramukhi 2.

Actors Raghava Lawrence, Anushka Shetty were previously associated with Chandramukhi 2 though it remains to be seen if Lyca's new announcement is indeed about this project with these respective actors. A remake of the 1993 Malayalam hit Manichitrathazhu, Chandramukhi was directed by P Vasu and produced by Sivaji Productions.
