A Closer Look at Mersal Teaser

The highly anticipated teaser of the Vijay starrer Mersal almost broke the internet last evening, with the video getting a whopping 9.3 million views in the last 17 hours. While this video from Sri Thenandal Films awaits to break a lot more records before dusk today, we take a closer look at the content that was unveiled :

Top Notch Visuals:

The first thing that grabbed our immediate attention is the quality visuals of the teaser. Cinematography was top notch and a lot of long shots could be noticed.

Vijay's Triple Avatar

While there were many frames that more or less confirmed Vijay's triple role in the film, had the fact not leaked earlier on, the surprise impact would have been much greater.

Traditional Value:

The traditional aspects of a Tamizhan could be seen retained, with elements like Mal Yudhdham, Jallikattu and even Vijay spotted in a Veshti, more than often.

Interesting revelations  

Two unexpected revelations made through the teaser were - a) the Vijay from the flashback travels to the North where he is seen wrestling the native people. b) Vijay (and possibly a younger version of his) are shown as hard-core fans of MGR.

A Punch for Peace

Hard-core Vijay fans are always looking for that one punch line in every film of his and from the teaser, looks like it will be "Peace Bro" this time.

As we did not get even the slightest glimpse of any other member from the huge star cast, we are forced to believe that Atlee and team decided to reserve the suspense for either the trailer or the film in itself. Nevertheless, the teaser is technically rich and promises to offer more. Aalaporan Mersal Arasan? Let us wait and watch.
