Punch statements from Mersal Audio Launch

The Mersal audio launch event celebrating 25 years of AR Rahman, 25 years of Vijay and Sri Thenandal Films' 100th film was no less of a carnival. Surprisingly, almost every celebrity who spoke at the event had something interesting to say that garnered a lot of applause from the audience present. An excerpt from the most clapped-at punch statements can be seen below :

Usually 25 and 25 makes 50 but with Mersal 25 years of Vijay and 25 years of AR Rahman has given Thenandal's 100th film. 

I think Vijay's parents attended way too many Church masses that his films are nothing less of mass these days. 

Recently during an issue with a journalist, Vijay sent out a statement in support of her. It felt like a statement supporting women everywhere and I like Vijay for that.

Mersal is the first film to have a twitter emoji. I won't be surprised if for his next film, US president Trump tweets that he is the best CM Tamil Nadu has ever seen. By CM i mean Collection Mannar (meaning collection king)

Vijay sir treats you like a buddy and lets you treat him like a buddy. I like that very much about him. 

Some great men have said that silence is a very lethal weapon. I've learnt from Vijay sir on how to use that silence. 

I've been watching Atlee's work very closely. He's doing a very good job. I'd definitely be watching the first day first show of Mersal. 

A.R. Rahman 

Its been 25 years but it feels like year 1 to me...This is a new set of audience. What's good about this generation is if they like someone, they make them their hero. 

Like we said in the song, Aalaporan Tamizhan (Tamilan is gonna rule) is just our aspiration. You guys have to make it true in every field - be it a doctor, a state leader, in education, in kindness. You have to set an example in how kind you should be with women.

The energy Vijay's fans give him should not be restricted to this event alone. It should definitely turn into something else (referring to his political aspirations). 

Aalaporan Tamizhan (Tamilan is going to rule) is rightly composed by A.R. Rahman for Vijay (again referring to his political aspirations).

When people ask me how I handle negativity (referring to the recent controversy with a journalist), I tell them the best way to do is by ignoring. 

Having said that I aslo feel, people will not let one live peacefully. They try to put you down in every possible way. But then again if everyone starts liking you, life will become boring.
