Reason for VIP 2 getting postponed

Dhanush starrer Vellai Illa Pattadhaari 2 (VIP 2) which was highly anticipated on July 28, 2017 is now getting postponed leaving a lot of fans dejected. Apparently the film was submitted for an online censorship (as many movies are resorting to these days) and the producers haven't gotten a date of censor results (which ideally should be before the release date) as yet from the CBFC. Since there are about 6 films pending to be censored with the CBFC before VIP 2, a delay in the release of this Soundarya  Rajinikanth directorial has become inevitable. The movie is now expected to release in August, 2017.
