Is Hansika replacing Shruthi Haasan in Sangamithra?

Earlier this month, Shruthi Haasan's dramatic exit from director Sundar.C's most ambitious project Sangamithra grabbed a lot of eye-balls. Rumours about actress Nayanthara being approached for the role even made it to the headlines making Shruthi Haasan's replacement, the talk of the town. Now, we hear that Sundar.C's favorite Hansika who is currently filming Villain in Malayalam and Goutham Nanda in Telugu, is among the top-contenders to fill-in for the titular role of this magnum opus. 

Sangamithra is bankrolled Thenandal Films with Jayam Ravi and Arya in the lead and A.R.Rahman for the music. The movie is said to be the story of a warrior princess and will be released in 2 parts.
