Tamil remake of Pelli Choopulu titled Pon Ondru Kanden

A while ago, we had reported about Gautham Vasudev Menon acquiring the Tamil remake rights of the romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu; a film which was released last year and went on to gain recognition for its characters and presentation. Now industry buzz is that the Tamil version of this movie has been titled Pon Ondru Kanden and will see Vishnu Vishal playing the lead. As reported earlier, the movie will be directed by debutant Senthil Veerasamy and has actress Tamannah playing the female lead. 

The original Pellichoopulu was written by Tharun Bhascker and Dhaassyam and told the journey of two strangers following a common dream together. Official confirmations on the remake of this romantic comedy is awaited from the production banner.
