Vivek Oberoi to play villain in Ajith 57

In the south, Vivek Oberoi's name first came into limelight in 2004, when he played the good Samaritan by physically helping out the Tsunami-hit victims of Tamil Nadu. Six years later, he was then seen playing villain to actor Suriya in the Ram Gopal Varma directorial Ratha Charithiram (dubbed). A decade hence, the actor is creating buzz once again, as reports suggest that he has been roped in for a negative role in Ajith's upcoming movie which is tentatively titled Ajith 57. It is to be noted that several big names like Abhishek Bachchan, Arvind Swamy, Kiccha Sudeep, Arjun and Prasanna were considered for the role before Oberoi signed the deal. 

Predominantly shot abroad, this directorial by Siva commenced shooting in August. The movie is believed to be a spy thriller in which Oberoi will be seen playing the role of an international criminal. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan play female leads in the film with Anirudh rendering the musical scores. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the movie is Ajith's third collaboration with the director post Veeram and Vedalam.
