Tovino Thomas' Narivetta to Hit Theaters on May 23, 2025

The upcoming political action drama Narivetta, starring Tovino Thomas, has officially locked its theatrical release date for May 23, 2025. Initially expected to release on May 16, the film’s new date has further fueled excitement among Malayalam cinema enthusiasts.

Directed by Anuraj Manohar and scripted by Sahitya Akademi award-winner Abin Joseph, Narivetta marks Joseph’s feature film writing debut. Inspired by real-life events, the story delves into the conflict between a tribal community and the state police, tackling themes of power, protest, and justice.

The film features a stellar cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran, the acclaimed Tamil actor-filmmaker, making his Malayalam debut. Tovino plays a junior police officer entangled in a sensitive case, with Cheran leading the investigation.

Produced by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under Indian Cinema Company, the film boasts cinematography by Vijay, music by Jakes Bejoy, and editing by Shameer Muhammed.
