A few months ago, actor Mahesh Babu's next after Sarkaru Vaari Paata was announced to be SSMB28 (tentative title) with director Trivikram Srinivas. The duo are reuniting 11 years since their last collaboration and now it has been officially announced that Pooja Hegde will be playing female lead in the film.

Marking the occassion of Mahesh Babu's 46th birthday today, the makers of SSMB28 released a special video where this update was made. The film is touted to be an action entertainer and its technical crew includes Thaman for music, Madhie for cinematography and Navin Nooli for edits.

SSMB28 is produced by S. Radha Krishna(Chinababu) of Haarika and Haasine Creations.
