Previously we had reported that composer A.R. Rahman will be seen in a small role as himself in Mohanlal's upcoming Malayalam release Aaraattu. This has now been been confirmed after Mohanlal shared a picture from the sets of his movie with director B. Unnikrishnan and Rahman.

"A rare and remarkable shoot with the Music Maestro", wrote Mohanlal who will be seen alongside Shraddha Srinath in the movie. A.R. Rahman is reuniting with Mohanlal after Yodha in 1992 and Aaraattu makers are recreating the famous Mukkala Muqabla song from Kaadhalan.

Reportedly, the makers purchased the remix rights for Rs. 28 lakhs and upcoming composer Rahul Raj has reprised the 1994 track. Before this, a 2020 Bollywood movie titled Street Dancer 3D had reprised Rahman's iconic composition with Prabhu Deva's dance as well.
