If the novel Coronavirus pandemic in India has brought anything to the fore-front, it is the self-less nature of service workers especially the police department who are employed 24/7 to patrol the streets, ensuring that the rest of the nation spends their time in quarantine and self-isolation. As a gesture of gratitude towards these police officials Bollywood director Rohit Shetty whose love for cops is reflected in his movies Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi, has extended a generous arm of help.

The Mumbai Police recently confirmed that Rohit Shetty has facilitated 8 hotels across the city for the officials to rest, shower and change with arrangements for breakfast and dinner. Shetty has previously donated Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) in an effort to provide support for the daily wage workers from the film industry.

It is worth mentioning here that Rohit Shetty has joined the list of celebs like actor Sonu Sood who has offered his hotel in Mumbai for the stay of healthcare workers and Shah Rukh Khan, who has offered his four-storey personal office space for treating Covid-19 patients.
