Gopichand is awaiting the release of his upcoming spy thriller film 'Chanakya' which is set to hit the screens on October 5 on the occasion of Dasara. The film is directed by Kollywood director Thiru. Gopichand who is badly in need of a hit at the Box Office following a series of flop ventures has pinned all his hopes on Chanakya to resurrect his career. The trailer of Chanakya is set to be unveiled today at 5 pm.

Meanwhile director Sampath Nandi has made an announcement on social media regarding Gopichand's 28th movie to be helmed by him. He wrote, "Announcing my next and happy to be associated with @YoursGopichand garu once again under the production of @SS_Screens.  A hearty welcome to one of the beautiful n finest actress of our times @tamannahspeaks as the leading lady of our #Gopichand28.. Hoping to create the magic of #Racha n #BengalTiger"

Tamannah Bhatia has been roped in as the leading lady opposite Gopichand in this yet-to-be-titled film. Tamannah who is basking in the success of her last Telugu outing 'F2 - Fun and Frustration' will be teaming up with the director for the third time after Racha and Bengal Tiger. 

Gopichand's 27th film touted to be an action adventure is set to be directed by debutante Binu Subramanyam.
