After the first teaser gaining good response from audience, the makers have release the second teaser of Mamooty's upcoming film "Uncle". Uncle is directed by debutant Girish Damodar and written by Joy Mathew. The film is slated for release on April 27. Uncle has completed the censor formalities and has been given a clean 'U' certificate.

Karthika Muraleedharan plays a pivotal role. Uncle revolves around a family living in Kozhikode, stuck in the social and political backdrop of Kerala. It will also look at a girl of seventeen (played by Karthika) and the bond she shares with her father's best friend, whom she fondly calls Uncle (Mammootty). Uncle is filmed by cinematographer Alagappan N and National Award-winning composer Bijibal has scored the music. The film is jointly produced by Joy and Sajay Sebastian for Abra Films International and SJ Films.
