The wait for Poomaram is over. The film is set to hit the screens on March 15 finally. Kalidas Jayaram took to Facebook to confirm that Poomaram will hit the theatres on March 15, 2018. He also thanked everyone for the love and the support. The film was earlier slated for release on March 9 but it got postponed due to some technical problems. 

Poomaram has been directed by Abrid Shine and it is his third directorial venture. The film has been in news and trolls since it has inordinately been delayed for reasons unknown. Poomaram has totally moved away from the limelight, to the much disappointment of the audiences. Poomaram started rolling in 2016. Two songs from the film were instant hits on YouTube and social media.  

Kalidas made his Kollywood debut with Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum in 2016. He has one more film, Oru Pakka Kathai, awaiting release.  Poomaram also has Kunchacko Boban, Manju Warrier and Meera Jasmine on board.
