The winners of the 48th Kerala State Film Awards were announced by the minister of State for cinema, AK Balan at a press conference recently. The awardess are contenders from the year 2016 and are listed below. These state awards are bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy since 1998 on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala, India.
