Kapil Sharma’s debut film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ has been in news ever since it was announced. The makers were reportedly served a legal notice citing similarities to a Kannada film. However, the directors Abbas-Mustan have defended themselves by saying that the script was registered in 2008 at the Film Writers Association.

At a promotional event, Mustan said, “Whatever has happened (getting the legal notice), that keeps happening in our films. Some (people) keep doing this to take advantage…Our film got the copyright in the Film Writers Association in 2008 and these people (makers of Kannada film) have made their film in 2013.”

On the other hand, Kapil Sharma said such kind of allegations come up during the release of any film. “Even I have heard that news…however, I have not got the notice from anyone. But whenever there is a film, which is releasing, certain allegations sprout up… I do not know much about it,” Kapil added.

Apparently, the film got delayed as the directors wanted to have right actors in it. “After watching Kapil’s show (‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’) and observing his sense of humour and timing, that is when we realised that casting him would be perfect,” the duo added.

‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, which also features Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Sai Lokurwords, Arbaaz Khan and Varun Sharma, will hit the screens on Friday.
