Kaththi, which received positive reception upon its release, has been doing  tremendous business at the box office. The movie's first day box office figure has been officially released by the makers. The overall gross on day one of the movie is said to be 23.80 crores. Below is the official statement regarding the collection of the movie.

 

We are now extremely proud to reveal that our movie has smashed ALL records in South Indian film history with an overall collection of 23.80 crores in ONE DAY.

16.45 crores have been collected in Tamil Nadu / Kerala / Karnataka and North India. Overseas box office collections have been 7.35 crores.

All work for the Telugu version is happening at a quick pace, and we will the announce the date shortly!


To be noted, AR Murugadoss has previously delivered three movies that belongs to 100 crore club. With the record breaking collections and good WOM, one shall expect the same magic to repeat again for Kaththi. !!
