Karthi's Komban starts rolling

Karthi's new film Kombam went on floors yesterday at Ramanathapuram. Kombam will be directed by Muthaiah of Kutti Puli fame. Lakshmi Menon will play the female lead. Raj Kiran plays a pivotal role as Karthi's father-in-law. Popular Stunt choreographer Super Subbarayan has been roped in as the villain.

Kombam is a rural action and emotional entertainer set in the backdrop of Ramanathapuram. The team has planned to wrap the film shoot in 70 days. Karthi will be sporting a raw and rustic look in this film similar to his debut film Paruthiveeran. Yuvan is scoring the music. Velaraj is handling the camera. Editing by Praveen KL. Karthi's Madras directed by Attakathi director Pa. Ranjith is slated for release in July.
