AL Vijay reveals Sai Pallavi's role in Karu

The first look of director AL Vijay's upcoming movie Karu has actress Sai Pallavi hugging a child, replicating the foetus inside mother's womb as suggested in the title. While we knew that the film was woman-centric, the director in a recent interview has revealed that it also deals with the topic of abortion and has Sai Pallavi playing mother to a 4 year old.

What's interesting is that while the actress is widely recognized for her film Premam, it was her acting in Kali that impressed the director. And despite Karu being her debut film in Tamil, the actress will be seen dubbing in her own voice. Also starring Naga Shaurya and RJ Balaji, Karu is produced by Lyca Productions and has Nirav Shah for cinematography and Antony for the edits.
