No cuts for Ayushman Khuranna-Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan'

The Ayushman Khuranna-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts and with a ‘U/A’ certificate.

As per DNA reports, Sources say the film’s makers expected to get an ‘A’ certificate, considering the sexual theme. However, they were pleasantly surprised when the new CBFC regime under Prasoon Joshi gave the film the nod without a single cut.

Delighted by the show of approval by the CBFC, the film’s leading man Ayushmann says, “I am so glad we got this all-clear from the CBFC. This just shows that the CBFC is progressive and supports the content of our film, which deals with performance-anxiety among men. When audiences see Shubh Mangal Saavdhan they’ll realise it’s a very important film.”

The movie produced by Aanand L Rai is slated to release on September 1, 2017. The film will release alongside Ajay Devgn starrer Baadshaho.
