Madhavan trains at NASA for 'Chanda Mama Door Ke'

Lead actor of ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’, Sushant Singh Rajput, trained at NASA for preparation for the film. Madhavan is also a part of the film and has also headed to NASA for some training as he will also be essaying the role of an astronaut.

As per Mid Day repots, "I felt like a kid in Disneyland," says Madhavan, with glee, about his experience at the centre. "Over the first few days, I was putting on different space suits and learning all about their functionality. I was shocked when I heard how much a space suit costs! They are my new toys."

Madhavan is presently at Alabama where he is training with the film's VFX director John Palmer to understand his character better. 

"John helped me understand the technical aspects of each suit. Since he has worked on a bunch of Hollywood films — Geostorm [2017], Apollo 18 [2011] and The Astronaut Farmer [2006] — he gives me a great reference point to work on. Be it taking me through the process of getting into the suits or explaining safety measures, or helping me train under water, John has done it all."

Chanda Mama Door Ke features Sushant Singh Rajput with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Madhavan in the lead roles. The film is directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.
