There was a report a couple of days back that Santhanam would be seen in a cameo appearance in Mersal. This news has been brushed away as a rumor by sources close to the camp.


The film's shoot has been wrapped up completely, with just minor patch work remaining. With post production in full swing, the team has ample time to perfect their product before their scheduled Diwali release. 

Meanwhile, the songs of Mersal which were released earlier in the week have received mixed reviews. People opine that with more time, the songs will grow on the listener like Rahman's songs usually do.
