Ajay Devgn to play Income Tax officer in Raj Kumar Gupta's 'Raid'

Ajay Devgn is all set to play an Income Tax officer in his next flick ‘Raid’ directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The film which is set in the 1980s, will be based on a life of an I-T officer from Uttar Pradesh. Bhushan Kumar and Kumar Mangat will produce the film. Written by Ritesh Shah, the film is scheduled to hit the theatres in April, 2018.

 

 

According to Pinkvilla reports, Ajay is all set to star in a film titled Raid. He will be seen playing the role of an Income Tax Officer based in Uttar Pradesh. The film will be set in the 1980s and helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta of No One Killed Jessica fame.
 
The film will be going on floors this year in the month of September. Talking about it, Gupta stated to a daily, "Raid is a story that needs to be told on the big screen, and I’m looking forward to working with Ajay on a subject like this."

 

 

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of Baadshaho. Directed by Milan Luthria, film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Sanjay Mishra and Sharad Kelkar, among others. The film is slated for a September 1, 2017 release.ra
