Kamal Haasan backtracks his TV release plan 

Following an unexpected uprising by theatre owners and distributors associations against Kamal Haasan's plan to release Vishwaroopam directly on television on January 11th, Kamal Haasan is reported to have dropped this idea on Sunday. Kamal consulted his advisors within the trade and in film fraternity before making this decision.

The DTH networks have been communicated of this decision. It is reported that Tata Sky may have a contract signed with the producers. The discussions are on to annull the contract and reverse any transactions.
