Deepika Padukone to star in Indo-Chinese film?

Deepika Padukone's last release was Bajirao Mastani and she is yet to start her next Hindi film. Deepika Padukone has roped with Sidharth Anand for his upcoming project, an Indo-Chinese love story. She will star opposite Deng Chao, ‘The Mermaid’ famed actor.

As Times of India reports, the director had been wanting to get Padukone on board for a while and now she has said yes to do the film. With the genre of a love story. The yet to be titled film will also star Chinese actor Dang Chow as the male lead.

Whispers also had claimed that Anand wanted to get Priyanka Chopra on board the film as well, however it seems that didn’t work out.

Meanwhile after receiving huge applause for her performance in her debut Hollywood film ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ (2017), Deepika Padukone is back in the Indian film business in the midst of her forthcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali project ‘Padmavati’.
