Srinu literally restarted Balakrishna and Jagapathi Babu’s careers single-handedly with Simha and Legend. He returns post the latter. Arjun returns post an extended appearance in the underrated Rudramadevi, Srikanth returns post Terror and Aadhi returns post Malupu.

Plot: The movie is about a young man who serves justice where the system fails.

In true-blue Tollywood style, this is a loud, in-your-face, over-the-top, thunderous and unapologetically a full-blown masala flick – complete with Srinu’s stamp all over it. But at 158 minutes, it is unabashedly entertaining.

Boyapati Srinu delivers yet another motion picture where there are certain sequences which make you wonder – how dumb were they? And then, without a second to lose, the lost momentum is regained in full-blown slow motion by our lead. S. Thaman’s songs are funky but nothing too memorable. His background score is loud and energetic. Rishi Punjab’s cinematography is superb – with colorful frames, lovely close-ups and stupendous slow-motions. Ram, Laxman and Ravi Verma’s action sequences are jaw-dropping and truly enjoyable. Yes, it is all mass, but it works big time more because unlike his contemporaries, Arjun actually looks like he can pull such punches off.

Allu Arjun is – without an ounce of doubt, the finest among the young crop of Tollywood. While Srinu himself isn’t sure of Arjun’s character, his brilliance as an actor makes sure the movie is never dull – even if the actresses appear and disappear as and when needed – along with much of the plot. Srikanth is decent and Arjun & him share a sparkling chemistry which remains unused. Aadhi is fine. The supporting cast is the usual list of actors and they are just right.

Verdict: Sarrainodu is a masala flick which helps Arjun change gears and go head first in to a full-blown mass role. While Srinu’s writing is a complete damp-on-arrival, Arjun single-handedly pulls this entire motion picture out of the rubble on his huge biceps and dances away to cementing his position as Tollywood’s foremost and complete actor.
