Recently, it was announced that Anushka Shetty, Madhavan starrer Nishabdham would release directly on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on June 19, 2020 due to movie theaters' extended shutdown for Coronavirus COVID-19 situation. Following the announcement Telugu media reported that fans of Anushka Shetty were disappointed over the decision and had expressed the same on social media. 

However, team Anushka Shetty is said to have come to the makers' rescue by announcing that the actress herself supports the producers' decision owing to the ongoing pandemic and lockdown. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, Nishabdham is a thriller which also stars Madhavan, Anjali and Shalini Pandey among others. 

The movie has Anushka playing a speech impaired artist named Sakshi and will be releasing in Tamil and Telugu.
