Actress Simran in a recent interview has confirmed that she has signed the Tamil remake of Andhadhun, which stars Prashanth in the lead and will be directed by Ponmagal Vandhal fame J.J. Frederick. Produced by Prashanth's father Thiyagarajan, the Tamil version will see Simran reprise Tabu's role from the original.

A black comedy crime thriller, Andhadhun directed by Sreeram Raghavan follows a blind piano player who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murder of a former film actor. The movie was adapted from a 2010 French short film titled L'Accordeur (The Piano Tuner).
