It has been 4 days since the fourth part of La Casa De Papel, a Spanish web-series on Netflix premiered in India and seems like all Indians could talk about at the moment (besides the COVID-19 situation) is Money Heist (the series' English title). If one may recall, we had reported on Season 4's premiere day that the Netflix server went down a good few minutes owing to the popularity of the series and yet there were many in India who were only just hearing of the show in question.
From gaping over Alvaro Morte aka The Professor, to making sense of the plot which is for a group of robbers to take the Bank of Spain under hostage and escape with the money they mint there over days, to getting accustomed to Bella Ciao, the Italian resistance song that features prominently in the show, Indians have been keeping themselves busy with Netflix's most popular non-English thriller.
People have also noticed similarities in the way Money Heist's plot moves with Indian movies and they were here for it. A result of this new found mania can be seen below:
