Salmans Khan's hugely anticipated Race 3 hit the screens on June 15 on the occasion of Eid. The most hyped film failed to impress the audience. The movie opened to negative reviews with people criticising Race 3 on the various social media platforms.  It has now become a tradition in Bollywood to have a Salman Khan starrer biggie to release on Eid. Though the film has disappointed the fans and critics alike, due to its pre-release buzz and strong advance booking, the film has done good business at the Box Office over the weekend.

Race 3 - Biggest opener of 2018

Race 3 has recorded a whopping sum of Rs. 29.17 crores on its opening day and has raced to the top of 2018's list.  Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first day collection numbers of Race 3 on his Twitter page:

The movie has dethroned the figures of Baaghi 2 and Padmaavat and has placed itself as the biggest opener of 2018.

Race 3 is Salman Khan's 4th highest opening day grosser

Race 3 turns to be the fourth highest opening day grosser for Salman Khan surpassing the collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, Bodyguard, Tubelight, Dabangg and Dabangg 2 and Jai Ho. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo continues to be Salman’s top grosser by collecting Rs. 40.35 cr followed by Tiger Zinda Hai at Rs 34.10 cr and Ek Tha Tiger at Rs 32.93 cr.

Race 3 pocketed another Rs. 38.14 crore on Saturday bringing the grand total to Rs. 67 crore.

Race 3 crosses 100 crore mark in its opening weekend

Race 3 has crossed the elite 100 crore mark in 3 days. It has raked in Rs. 106.47 cr in its opening weekend. It is the fourth Salman Khan film to achieve this feat in the opening weekend after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected Rs 102.60 crore from Friday-Sunday, Sultan earned Rs 105.53 crore between Wednesday and Friday, while Tiger Zinda Hai garnered Rs 114.93 crore in the Friday-Sunday period.
