It all started when during one of the promotional interviews for Secret Superstar, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan spoke of his 'dream project' The Mahabharata. He was then quoted as saying, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life."This was the followed by a major hint through an Insta-feed by Aamir's protege and actress Fathima Sana Shaikh, where she posted an image that indicated that she was reading the holy book.
And though there has been no official word on the project as yet, speculations are rife that Aamir will be begin his dream project after his current Thugs of Hindostan which also starrs his Dangal co-star Fathima Sana Shaikh. It is also being said this mega-budgeted project (estimated to be around Rs. 1000 crore) will be co-produced by business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and that the movie will be released in 5 parts. Secret Superstar director Advait Chauhan will reportedly be seen directing the first part of this magnum opus of a pentalogy.
