Best Lyricist of Tamil Cinema 2012 

Madhan Karky and Na. Muthukumar share the top spot for best lyrics in Tamil movies released during 2012. It was a close call this year with Na. Muthukumar and Madhan Karky penning some noteworthy lines that enriched our Tamil language while reaching out to the masses successfully.

Madhan Karky continued to work in high profile projects in 2012. Karky introduced "Un-inmai"(miss in Tamil) in KSY and his lines "Pencil Seevidum..." from Naan Ee were well appreciated by the masses. Karky continues to weave global/techno/cyber concepts seamlessly in Tamil lyrics with his asku laska, antarctica and google-google. 

Na. Muthukumar wrote a total of 103 songs this year. His lines in "Thaiyya Thakka" about sisters singing about the kind of man they would like to marry in Vettai was appreciated by Rachel Saltz of NY Times.
