Yaan - Novice Actioner

Looks like Ravi. K. Chandran set out to make a commercial film on a large canvas with an important issue as the backdrop. But the final product leaves a lot to be desired. Yaan is very predictable

Chandran has worked as a cinematographer for over two decades and he should've known better too. Together they've produced a film that makes you yawn in boredom.(more)

To prove himself to his girlfriend Sreela's father, Chandru accepts a job in a foreign country only to get imprisoned there on arrival for carrying drugs.

When a cinematographer decides to turn a director, the one thing we can be assured of is that the film will look pretty. And Yaan, the directorial debut of Ravi K Chandran, one of the finest Indian cinematographers at the moment, is certainly a visual delight. Right from the opening frame, where we ...(more)
