Oru Kal, Oru Kannaadi is tortuous

OKOK is a slightly torturous friendship story of two guys and that's pretty much it. There's a girl here, somewhere, but she doesn't count. The only one who matters is Santhanam, and his hilarious one-liners bag all your attention. (more)

Rollicking comedy

Packed with clever one-liners, Santhanam carries the film to the winning post. Harris songs though repetitive is hummable and the pick of the album is Kathal Oru Butterfly and Veenam Macha. If all you're looking for is a relaxed time at the movies, then, this is Good Fun. Go with your buddies, you'll laugh till you have tears in your eyes!(more)

OKOK double OK

Saranya once again proves that she did not win the National Award for nothing. And what can one say about Santhanam? Oru Kal Oru Kannadi may not have a great storyline, but watching the film is worth every penny.

From the word go, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi keeps you engaging with its comic scenes. There is not a single moment where the audience get bored. Director Rajesh has penned a simple yet lively story. His narration, like before, is impressive. The strengths of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi are the one-liners and the way Santhanam delivers it. However, the drawback of the story is that there is not anything new in the film and the audience had seen such rom-coms.(more)

A routine, run-of-the-mill romance

Its Santhanams show all the way, who incidentally is OKOKs only saving grace. Minus the man, the movie is the pits. Shy away from this mundane mirth, and if a stone is handy lob at the mirror of loony life and living it showcases.(more)

OKOK offers something for every stratum of audience to enjoy

Incidentally, Rajesh revels in making women (particularly young women) the butt of his jokes. And the men in the audience lap it up with glee. Since it is all in jest, you find it funny. In a comedy, rarely are you made to feel sorry for a heroine's plight. Here you do.(more)
