This Is The Comedy We Deserved & Story We Needed

The film is colorful which adds to the feel-good factor of the film. Prasanna has captured some real middle-class family junctures which no other director has been able to do till now. At any moment the film couldve jumped to the other side and be a sex comedy, but its the control over the story w...(more)

Nothing dysfunctional about it

Director RS Prasanna does a commendable job in keeping a North Indian essence intact with a clean family entertainer. Surprisingly, the film has a mass appeal considering it is set in Delhi and Haridwar. It is relatable to a person viewing in the metros as well. (more)

Movie Review

R S Prasannas direction is neat but gets a bit haywire later on. But overall, its a fine job, especially for tackling such a subject. Also, few scenes are exceptionally directed like Sugandha taking Mudit to a park to seduce him (notice how smoothly this scene changes from being funny to moving), ...(more)

The Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer suffers from a sit-com flatness

Director R Prasanna plays it for laughs. Its that kind of film. Otherwise the problems arising out of erectile dysfunction would turn into a dry anatomy lesson. And the characters surrounding our sad-sack lovers, Mudits mother and father, and Sugus parents and younger brother, plus sundry uncles ...(more)

Movie Review

Ayushmann and Bhumi are able to recreate the magic of being together on-screen, even if their characters aren't exactly new or challenging to either actor. But it works, so there's no need to fix it. Additionally, they're surrounded by a group of talented supporting actors who blend in seamlessly wi...(more)

Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar Are Bright And Energetic In This Breezy Tale

Director R S Prasanna skirts around the potential pitfalls with the help of loads of maturity and a consistently light touch. The result: this comedic tale on love and lust caught in a zone of grave uncertainty never flirts with prurience.(more)

Ayushmann and Bhumi are fabulous in this joyride

The fabulous ensemble cast is complemented by Shubh Mangal Saavdhan's lead actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. Bringing their chemistry from Dum Laga Ke Haisha to this film, the two fit perfectly into their roles. Their love story is fraught with many problems, but making the audience laug...(more)

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a winner all the way!

Bhumi Pednekar may have a wobbly Delhi accent but she compliments Ayushmann's vulnerability with a fire that's reminiscent of Shabana Azmi and a goodness that becomes Deepti Naval. Every time she's on screen, it's easy to believe great things will happen -- races will be won, toilets will be buil...(more)
