Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum Movie Review

What does not keep us hooked mostly is the sluggish narration in the first half and lack of an engaging romantic story among the various 'love' stories. There is a scene in the second half where the hero�s mind voice goes, 'I didn't expect this twist'. The irony is, almost everyone in the audience easily guesses the twist. But the movie has a few moments in the second half, with a couple of hilarious scenes towards the climax(more)

Heart of the matter

This could well be fodder for a good rom-com, but director Ilavarasu Odam just seems content with the impressive star cast he has assembled. There's very little characterisation and even lesser emphasis on screenplay. Unfortunately, even Soori is out of form and fails to bring the house down.(more)

GGSR is a fun watch if you ignore logic!

Director Odam Ilavarasu has decided to give us an outright fun entertainer, and he has written the scenes only towards that goal. But one might feel that the scenes could have been written in a refreshingly new style, instead of opting for the same old style. Had he not compromised on the glamour quotient and songs, we�d have got a crispier and an enjoyable product. But, when we see GGSR as a final product, we can say Odam Ilavarasu has packed the film with all elements, like comedy, sentiment, emotions and drama. It's a run-of-the-mill comedy drama, but, it can entertain you at a good level.(more)
