Kushi (meaning Happiness) was a Tamil movie that released in the year 2000, starring Vijay and Jyothika. The film was remade in both Telugu and Hindi with the same title. Jyothika won the Filmfare Best Actress (Tamil) award for her performance in this movie. Shilpa Shetty appears in the song “Macarena Macarena” along with Vijay. This is director S.J.Suryah's second film after Vaali. He makes a small appearance in this movie. Nagendra Prasad, the brother of famous choreographers Prabhudeva and Raju Sundaram plays the role of Vijay's friend.
