A Neat Little Suspense Drama

a standalone product Oru Naal Iravil is a neat first effort from Antony. There is a sense of going nowhere in the initial minutes but very soon things fall in place and the 'what happens next?' feel is very much there from here on. With limited characters and the action being confined to very few locations it is the triumph of good writing that stands out and keeps us hooked. (more)

Watch Oru Naal Iravil to be amazed how simple things can hit you hard

Gripping

Oru Naal Iravils biggest strength is the outstanding performance of all the actors. Especially, Sathyaraj as the middle aged man brings so much life to his character. A fairly engrossing fare

The biggest plus of Oru Naal Iravil is its apt casting by Antony! Sathyaraj shines as the middle-aged man caught in a predicament, albeit going slightly over the top at few places. Anu Mol gives a natural performance be it her body language, facial expression or dialogue delivery. (more)

The film is all about unexpected events that connect three men (Sekar, a family head, an Auto-driver and a filmmaker who needs a break in career) and a woman (sex-worker). With this setting the film aspires to be a thriller with strong emotional content.(more)

A mature story that treats the audience like infants

For a film made by an editor, the scenes just dont come together. They look disconnected. The greasing of the parts that makes a film one giant well-oiled machinethat doesnt happen at all. The characters dont draw us in either. (more)
