Keeps it very simple

Comedy which is the mainstay of a Sundar C film is not exactly great here. But a few bouts of laughter are guaranteed. The sequence involving the mistaken identity of the ghost is one such. The horror works like a spoof at best. The garish ghosts do not even bother you let alone make you fearful. Sometimes glamour in a Sundar C film could border on the repulsive for a few. Aranmanai 2 however keeps things in check. (more)

Aranmanai 2 is Bland light hearted fun

The evil characters are so cartoonish that you can see their next movements from miles away. The "Good" character is so bland and pathetic that you never have a real connection with her. The landscape around the house was not spooky at all. Trisha is drool worthy. But that alone is not enough. Sundar.C fails to recreate the magic once again.(more)

Despite a predictable plot, watch it for Siddharth and Trisha's powerful performances!

This movie will surely be a feather in Trisha's cap. Hansika is cute and bubbly where she's required to be and pulls off a wonderful performance in the film. Since she was in Aranmanai, she knows the genre and the USP of the film well. One must talk about the performance of Soori and Kovai Sarala here as they were two of the biggest strengths of the film.If you want a lot of laughs with some horror thrown in, then catch Aranmanai 2.(more)

A typical horror comedy flick. Go for Sundar C's usual humor, not for the thrills and horror

Hansika yet again is adorable as a bubbly spoilt sister, then menacing as the ghost. Her role is quite brief, but does the trick pretty well. The talented Siddharths role is etched with shades of what Vinay had in the first part, more scope could have been provided to prove his abilities apart from tagging along with the storyline. Trisha does her part well, but the predictable screenplay gives her character way pretty easily missing the element of surprise. Sundar C is in his comfortable role, a brother who wants to get to the bottom of the chaos with a small twist in the climax. BGM from Hip Hop Tamizha is spot-on and makes the mark, however the songs dont do much justice and rather slows down the pace of the movie. Adding Sepia touches to the camera is simply Senthils master stroke, one of the best features of Aranmanai2.(more)

A Mash-up Of All Horror-Comedies

Aranmanai 2 is technically poor. Barring the second half, which is a touch pacier, everything else looks below par in the technical department. (more)

Aranmanai again all over, with minor modifications, but no lesser in terms of entertainment

Aranmanai 2 has nothing different to offer than its antecessor, except for Siddharth, Trisha and the magnitude. (more)
