Exemplary visuals, but less than moderately engaging

Gethu could have worked better, if the writing was stronger. The director's lofty ambitions in narrating a thriller are palpable, but it falls short of want of more interesting elements.(more)

On the whole there is more style than substance to 'Gethu' but is definitely watchable.

Thirukumaran who has written and directed Gethu has chosen a rather slow pace to the screenplay but puts all the red herrings in the right places and the film flows through to the guessable climax. Special appreciation is due for quickly doing away with the subplots like the love story between Amy and getting back to the main theme.(more)
