Comic Caper that is adequately amusing
.There is a neat love story that forms the backbone. A lot of emotions are involved in a few scenes but without melodrama.The only problem with the film is that there a few places that are about too plain. You have few nice little touches and then it either seems stretched or nothing happens for a while. A fully blown laugh riot would have definitely been possible but probably the intention of the makers was really not that. (more)

Director Vignesh Shivan half-accomplishes his goal with his move to cast Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead. To be precise, the whole casting idea has done wonders to this simple yet cute story of his. For the audiences who have enjoyed Vijay Sethupathi�s body language and dialogue delivery in his previous works, they will have a new element to add to their list, as he showcases a high degree of admiration and love through his eyes, in every frame he shares with Nayanthara.(more)

The lovable Rowdy
Vignesh Sivan has proved his caliber in dealing with emotions in family bonding, love and friendship. Especially the love between the lead pair is refreshing and the decision taken by the lead characters are convincing. Though the story is about a girl using his lover for revenge and the boy is ready to do any sacrifice for his girl, thankfully there is no women bashing at all and this part of the story is portrayed in a dignified manner. This movie is a visual treat and high on comedy!
This is director Vignesh Shivan's second film and he seems to have spent a lot of time on the script which is evident on screen. It�s not only the characters of Pandi and Kadambari that are well-etched, but even the smaller roles evoke a laugh and entertain you.(more)
