Pisasu - Haunting of a different kind

Pisasu once again has Mysskin at his best in narrating a story. It is vastly different from his previous films and yet has his trademark style of film-making throughout. Pisasu is haunting of a different kind that takes you along a bundle of emotions. (more)

Pisaasu - A slightly different take on ghosts, boldly made

Pisaasu is definitely fictional and one leaving the theatre satisfied with the story will depend on how he or she has conceptualized ghosts and to what an extent they are willing to be flexible with what they have conceived in their minds about the supernaturals(more)

Mysskin's tryst with horror paves off

Mysskins love for human emotions and to portray the dark and moody side of it has always been a mystery to tell. To write off Pisasu as a supernatural flick would be a long shot, the movie captures the essence of a horror flick and shifts into an emotional drama without giving us the whim of the tr...(more)

The title of Mysskins new movie, Pisasu, suggests a change of pace. After years of dealing with stories about dread, you think the director has opted for a genre -- horror -- that will allow him to ratchet up the queasiness quotient a couple of notches. But despite the presence of the titular spiri...(more)

Pisaasu is a haunting tale of love

In Pisaasu, the malevolence generally attributed to evil spirits is lacking. It is totally devoid of the regular cliches associated with horror flicks. (more)

A funny, not scary ghost

Mysskin-helmed Pisaasu is not the run-of-the-mill horror story. The ghost here is generally friendly - an unmistakable reminder of the 1990 American work, Ghost, starring Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg, that was directed by Jerry Zucker. But, while the American ghost (Swayze) infuses...(more)
