The bubbly and bouncy Nikki Galrani has done close to 25 films in a quick span of time, across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Her most recent release is Neruppuda, alongside Vikram Prabhu. Nikki plays a medical student in this film and obviously Vikram Prabhu's love interest too.

♦ 2017 has been good for this starlet as her role in the highly successful Maragatha Naanayam was much talked about,

"My effort and hard work for Maragatha Naanayam has paid off well and I'm very happy about it. It was a big step to take up such a daringly different role. That said, every film is equally important for an artist."

♦ Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva, earlier in the year, was severely criticized. Your role was also overtly glamorous. What do you have to say about this?

"Not every film can be a blockbuster hit or a benchmark setting film. 'Motta Shiva' was like a learning experience; I'll learn from the negatives, work on them and turn them into positives. I'm that sort of an optimistic person generally."

♦ Up next, you have the hot and happening adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadevaki. Did the team make efforts to explain all the dialogues and scenes to you, given the sensitive genre of the film?

"I know a bit of Tamil and followed the dialogues to an extent. But there wasn't any need for me to be explained elaborately. I don't have any sensitive scenes or double meaning dialogues. The boys stuff is not being spoken to a girl. My portions will fall in the romcom space and it'll be cute and funny."

♦ You're being paired with many young heroes like Jiiva, Aadhi, Vikram Prabhu and Gautham Karthik. Tell us one interesting facet about each of these men.

"Everyone is sweet and nice; and it's been an amazing journey working with them. There is a lot to learn. Jiiva is a spontaneous actor and a chilled out person. Vikram Prabhu is humble and sweet. Gautham Karthik is this young, super talented guy. Coming to Aadhi, I really love and adore his dedication to work. He'll go the extra mile and literally transform himself into another human being altogether while he's working on a script."

♦ Looking back, what are the films which are truly close to your heart?

"Every film is memorable. I'm not being diplomatic here, that's how it is for me. Every character is close and special to me in some way or the other."

♦ After Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Nikki has films like Kee and Pakka set for release. Given the pace at which she is signing and completing films, we can expect her to hit the 50 mark soon. Best wishes, Nikki.
