Saguni got censored today (June 11) and was certified a clean 'U' certificate. 'Saguni' will be seeing a release on June 22 with 375 prints. Ever since the release date got advanced to June 22, Karthi has been facing a lot of heat for forcing a clash on Thala. A lot of sources claimed Karthi is eager to show his mass by clashing against Ajith. But, the real reason is very different when we inquired the decision makers.

Saguni avoids crowded release in Telugu

Saguni's telugu rights have been sold for roughly Rs. 10 Crores to Bellamkonda Suresh. This is considered a big amount for a dubbed movie in Telugu. Due to a number of big movies in Telugu will be releasing in last week of June and July (Allu Arjun's Julayi and Nagarjun's Dhamarukham, Rajamouli's Eega), Telugu distributor requested to release early to avoid crowded release given the big investment. The Saguni producers claim this as the key reason for releasing on June 22.

If the reason offered by sources is true, it is not clear why avoiding a clash in Telugu is given higher priority than setting up a clash against Thala...."Enna mama, ready-a?"
