Puli SWOT Analysis - Vijay is all set to pounce

One of the most expected films of this year, Vijay's Puli will set the box office on fire as the movie is set to open across record number of screens around the world. Check out the SWOT analysis of this magnum opus.

Strengths

• Undoubtedly, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is the biggest asset to the film. It is going to be a great visual treat for his ardent fans, as Vijay will be seen in an all-new avatar in this period fantasy flick. 

• Vijay's Puli is targeted at family audience and kids. With different interesting characters such as 'Lilliputians', the movie is expected to bring kids and families to the theatre.

• Chimbu Deven is known for his penchant to add fantasy elements to his script. Director Chimbu Deven was able to convince the leading stars (Sridevi, Sudeep) to sign the dotted line based on his narration of Puli script.  The movie has back-up of strong technical team, including  editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Natty. 

Weaknesses  

• Devi Sri Prasad has universally disappointed the music buffs with his uninspiring songs and the background scores.

• Puli's teaser and trailer have receive mixed reactions. The trailer did not have enough talkie portions of Vijay, Sridevi and other notable lead characters. This has brought down the expectations

• Apart from phenomenal path-breaking success of Imsai Arasan, none of Chimbu Deven's 4 other movies have been able to replicate the humongous success.

Opportunities

• After a number of low to medium budget movies, this is Chimbu Devan's first film with a leading hero and heroines. 

Threats

• With SS Rajamouli's Baahubali still fresh on everyone's minds, it is a herculean task for Puli team to live up to the humongous expectations of the audience.

• Despite all the hard-work and limited budget, quality of visual graphics is not compelling enough.
