Courier Boy Kalyan Songs - Music Review

Singer turned composer Karthik gave decent songs in his debut Telugu album Okkadine. Karthik joins hand with director Premsai for his sophomore album. Let's check out how well songs turned out for this Nithin starrer courier boy Kalyan.

Bangaramma:

Bangaramma is typical trendy song infused with teen pop sounds and the feel is emphasized further by the cool youthful vocals of Karthik while Sricharan's rap portions along with brief Megha vocals makes this enjoyable till it lasts. Ananth Sriram's colloquial yet charming lyrics adds further peppiness to the song.

Maya O Maya:

Maya O Maya also has pleasant tune similar to bangaramma especially lovely classically inclined charanam portions. Karthik filled the song with upbeat brass sections, occassional sax, whistles and lovely strings in second interlude. Karthik behind the vocals with his splendid impeccable rendition and catchy chorus portions aids the song very well. Overall,instant catchy listen in the album. 

Mandu Mandu:

Album shifts its gear from melodies to EDM mode in Mandu Mandu with still melody imbibed in the song. Despite occasional highs in the song, this last song in the album from Karthick falls flat. Nithin's dance moves may spruce up the level of the song with visuals. Karthik and Baba Sehgal behind the vocals did commendable job. 

Vaalu Kalla Pilla:

Anup Rubens, who gave quite hit songs for Nithin's previous movies, comes with a templatized and pedestrian tuned song Vaalu Kalla Pilla. Despite tepid tune, Anup Rubens scored well with engaging orchestration especially nathaswaram usage and modish usage of pipe instruments along with country styled guitar interludes. Anup Rubens and autotuned Suchitra vocals are apt for the Bhaskara Bhatla's lyrics. Overall, song to appease the mass audiences.

Verdict:

Karthik and Anup rubens delivered quite youthful trendy songs for courier boy Kalyan in tandem with Nithin's on screen image.
